Okay, now get ready as I unveil my most favorite thing that I have EVER made...well, except for the piece of furniture it is hanging on, and a few other pieces, and my wool blankets. Well, maybe it is my most favorite thing made this month. I made a dress for Hazel. A beautiful floral pattern dress in my favorite shade of red. And although it has some flaws, I am quite proud of it.
I do realize that it may have been more effective if I posted a picture of my girl wearing the dress, but she was unavailable for the photo shoot and I needed to make hay while the sun shone, so to speak. Next time though, I will be ready with camera in hand, because she really does look sweet in it.
Happy day to you all.

What a lovely dress...what pattern did you use?
ReplyDeletemaureen xo
Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI bought the pattern from a woman on etsy. Her site is called ManiMina Studio. I did change the pattern to suit my own purposes though. The original called for ribbons to close it up, but I changed it to a button and snap.
It came together quite nicely and quickly...especially for my first attempt at pattern reading and dress-making.
Enjoy your day.
That is so sweet! I love the fabric you chose for it.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely STUNNING!! I can't WAIT to see pictures of Hazel in it!
ReplyDeleteThis is just darling! What fabric did you use? I love love love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Hannah.
ReplyDeleteThat fabric was ordered from Fabricworm and was called something along the lines of "Momo Wonderland Tweedle Dum", I believe. (no seriously!)
All I know is that it got me through the last days of winter that happy fabric did!
YOU ARE AMAZING! :) xoxo
