The day and the week.

My birthday, a day that this year held a little bit of dread, came to pass. And, after Pumpkin spice scones with coffee for breakfast I was relieved to find that I was still here. And, because I don't spend a whole lot of time thinking about myself throughout the year, my birthday always seems to turn into a weeklong affair, with treats spread out along the way.
Many assure me that it is a well kept secret that the 40's are the best years....I will go with that.

  3. Happy Birthday - I think that as I get older, truly life just keeps getting better - the 40's especially - so much joy and appreciation the older I get.

  4. Another trip around the sun! I too, dreaded my 40th. However, after the days, weeks passed, it wasn't so bad. With 40 comes a certain.... I don't give a cr@p. Not in a bad way, but in a way that lets little things, how people think of you, letting the little things go and appreciating other things you didn't notice before. So.... enjoy the experience 40 has given you!

    1. Thanks Amanda. Funny, I have never been the kind of person who cared about age...the leadup to this one however threw me for a loop.
Now that I am here it seems like any other age...hooray.

  5. Everyday can be a great day. It didn't matter how old you are. Your happiness comes from how well you take care of yourself and your prospective of life.
